MILAN - At a San Siro without supporters, the players lined up around the centre-circle for a moment of reflection. Before returning to Serie A action, Inter and Sampdoria paid tribute to Mario Corso who passed away on Saturday and all of the victims of Covid-19.
“There are some people who are simply destined to go down in history, eternal champions and unique talents whom you simply can’t help but adore. Farewell Mario, we’ll miss everything about you,” read the touching message on the big screens at San Siro during the moment’s silence ahead of kick-off. Inter also took to the pitch wearing black armbands in memory of one of the Club’s greatest-ever legends.
