Inter run out 3-0 winners at the Ferraris to move back up to second

GENOA – After drawing with Roma and Fiorentina, Inter returned to winning ways today after beating Genoa 3-0 at the Marassi.  A Lukaku brace and a goal from  Sanchez meant that Antonio Conte’s side got the better of the Rossoblù, who were still in the game with 83 minutes on the clock but never really threatened. Inter took the lead in the 34th minute as Lukaku headed home Biraghi’s cross. After the restart, the tempo of the game slowed down somewhat and Inter had to wait until seven minutes from time to kill off the match, with Moses flying down the right and setting up Alexis Sanchez to score with a right-footed volley. Deep into added time, Lukaku scored a real gem: the Belgian striker accelerated into the Genoa box, skipped past Romero and found the back of the net to make it 3-0.

Inter now sit second on 76 points in the league and have just two Serie A matches remaining. The Nerazzurri’s next fixture will be against Napoli, a game which will take place at 21:45 CEST on Tuesday at the Meazza.
