On the other side of the draw, Manchester United will come up against Sevilla

Inter will play ShakhtarDonetsk in the Europa League semi-finals, with the match scheduled for 21:00 CEST on Monday 17 August at the Düsseldorf Arena.

Following Tuesday evening's quarter-final results, the two semi-final fixtures have been confirmed: Inter vs. Shakhtar Donetsk and Sevilla vs. Manchester United.

Shakhtar Donetsk ran out 4-1 winners against FC Basel at the Arena AufSchalke thanks to goals from four Brazilians: Junior Moraes, Taison, Alan Patrick and Dodo.

Meanwhile, Lopetegui's Sevilla side will face Manchester United in the last four following their 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton (Ocampos with the goal).

INTER VS. SHAKHTAR DONETSK, PREVIOUS ENCOUNTERS

It will be the third ancounter between Inter and the Ukrainian side, with the teams having already met in the third qualifying round of the 2005/06 Champions League. In the first leg held in Ukraine, Mancini's Nerazzurri side won 2-0 thanks to goals from Martins and Adriano. In the return fixture at San Siro, which was played behind closed doors, Alvaro Recoba and Elano got on the scoresheet as the teams played out a 1-1 draw, a result which secured Inter's place in the Champions League group stage.

Shakhtar Donetsk won the 2009 UEFA Cup, beating Werder Bremen 2-1 in the final. In 2016, the Ukrainians reached the semi-finals of the Europa League but were eliminated by Sevilla.

SHAKHTAR IN EUROPE THIS SEASON

With Portuguese coach Luis Castro at the helm, Shakhtar Donetsk dominated their domestic league and comfortably won the title. In Europe, they finished third in Group C of the Champions League before then progressing from their round of 32, round of 16 and quarter-final clashes in the Europa League.
