Inter’s last away without a goal in Serie A was in March 2020, in the 2-0 defeat to Juventus.

For the sixth time in a row, Udinese have failed to score against Inter. Gotti’s side are also now without a win in the league in their last nine games. The 0-0 draw in Udine is Inter’s second consecutive clean sheet: the Nerazzurri have now gone two consecutive league matches without conceding for the first time this season.

MILESTONES: HANDANOVIC IN THE TOP-15 IN SERIE A

Samir Handanovic playing against his former club produced a particularly significant statistic. The Inter skipper played his 497th game in Serie A. The Slovenian shot-stopper moved to 15th in the all-time Serie A appearance list. Handanovic now has the 500-appearance mark in his sights, which would see him draw level with Ciro Ferrara in 14th.

From one ex to another, Alexis Sanchez, who came on after the break, made his 50th appearance in an Inter shirt.
