Both the central midfielder and the winger made the starting XI in the win against Cyprus

Croatia clinched their first Group H victory in World Cup qualifying: after defeat in their first game against Slovenia, Dalic's side beat Cyprus at the Stadion Rujevica in Rijeka, with Pasalic getting the winning goal. Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic both started, getting 77 and 90 minutes of playing time respectively.
