Bonfanti's 90th-minute goal seals a crucial victory for the Nerazzurri U19s

SESTO SAN GIOVANNI - Nicholas Bonfanti! Inter emerged victorious at the Stadio Breda today thanks to a 90th-minute goal from the Nerazzurri striker, who got on the end of Casadei’s knockdown and coolly fired past Fogli. Following this win, Inter, for the time being at least, have moved top of the Primavera 1 TIM division. On matchday 23, it finished Inter 1-0 Fiorentina.

There were very few chances in the opening 45 minutes at the Stadio Breda. Spalluto provided the Viola’s main threat, while the Nerazzurri were frequently finding space down the left flank but lacking precision at the top of the pitch. The teams headed into the break on level terms.

It was much the same story in the second half, with there being very little goalmouth action. However, the Nerazzurri gradually began to raise their game and came close to opening the scoring through Boscolo Chio in the 80th minute. It turned out to be the prelude to Bonfanti’s last-gasp goal, one which earned a crucial three points for Armando Madonna’s side.
