Barella and Bastoni feature as Italy hit seven past San Marino

A comfortable victory for Roberto Mancini's Azzurri at the Sardegna Arena


CAGLIARI – On Friday evening, Italy played their first friendly ahead of the upcoming European Championship, beating San Marino 7-0 at the Sardegna Arena thanks to goals from Bernardeschi, Ferrari, Politano (2), Pessina (2) and Belotti.

Two Nerazzurri players took to the pitch: Alessandro Bastoni (who has renewed his Inter contract until 2024) replaced Biraghi in the 73rd minute, while Nicolò Barella played the final few minutes after taking Pessina’s place with 88 minutes on the clock.
