Cesare Casadei's late brace decided the game at Formello. Inter qualify for the final stages of the championship with two games to spare

FORMELLO - Cesare Casadei!!! Inter have qualified for the playoffs of the Primavera 1 TIM championship with two games to spare. The Azzurri midfielder decided the matchday 28 clash with a brace in the final moments of the game (87' and 90'). Today's win allows Armando Madonna's U19s to return to the top of the table (level with Sampdoria and awaiting the result of Juventus vs. Spal) and lessen the chance of having to play an extra match in the knockout rounds to decide the league winners. The next two games against Bologna and Atalanta will be very important, in which the Nerazzurri will try to stay in the top two to guarantee direct access to the semi-final.

There were few chances in the first half at Formello, as the two teams battled for control of the match but with little quality on show. The most active among the Nerazzurri was Zanotti, a thorn in the side of the biancocelesti defence and a constant attacking threat; For the biancocelesti, a goal by Franco ruled out for offside 25 minutes in was the main highlight.

Even in the second half, there was little to write home about up until the 87th minute: Sottini's cross from midway inside the half and Casadei's precise header made Inter explode with joy. The Azzurri midfielder repeated the feat three minutes later, again with a header but this time the assist came from Zanotti, giving three fundamental points to Inter, allowing them to qualify for the final stages of the Primavera 1 TIM championship with two rounds to spare.
