Calhanoglu reveals his shirt number to fans

APPIANO GENTILE – Hakan Calhanoglu is settling into his new surroundings, getting to know his new Inter team-mates, the coaching staff – and the fans. Our new signing answered some of the many questions sent in via the club's official Instagram profile, revealing, among other things, his shirt number for the coming season.

What made you choose Inter? “Inter was an easy choice. It all happened very quickly thanks to [Piero] Ausilio and [Simone] Inzaghi.”

Have you bonded with any of your new team-mates yet? “Yes, I've made friends with [Ionut] Radu, [Aleksandar] Kolarov, [Radja] Nainggolan, [Stefano] Sensi – nearly everyone actually. I'm getting to know my new team-mates.”

What shirt number will you wear? “I've gone for No.20. I normally wear 10 and 10+10 is 20 so I'm going to use that.”

Should I get you for my fantasy football team? “Definitely. I'm going to try and provide lots of assists for Romelu [Lukaku] and Lautaro [Martinez].” 

Do you prefer an assist or a goal? “I love assists because it's a great feeling when you can help your team-mates.”

Who are your five favourite former Inter players? “[Javier] Zanetti, Ronaldo, Adriano, [Samuel] Eto'o and [Wesley] Sneijder.”

Penalties or free kicks? “I prefer taking free kicks and trying to score from them.”
