The 20-year old forward chats to Inter TV after netting in recent friendlies against Lugano and Crotone

APPIANO GENTILE – Martin Satriano shared his views on what's it like to train with and score for the first team in an interview with Inter TV.

The 20-year-old Uruguayan, who played for the Primavera side last term, has been one of the standout performers of Inter's summer, getting his name on the score sheet against both Lugano and Crotone.

You've been one of the stars of pre-season, scoring against Lugano and Crotone. How's it been for you? “I'm delighted to be here and also that we're training so well. We have to keep it up.”

You must be pleased with your goals too?

“Yes, goals are important and it's always good to score.”

Was it nice to hear Simone Inzaghi's praise for you? “Yes, it means a lot to me that he said those things. I have to keep my head down and carry on working hard as I always have.”

Has the coach given you any specific instructions? “He does that all the time. He talks to me a lot. I observe the other strikers too – all of them, from [Andrea] Pinamonti to [Romelu] Lukaku. You have to try to learn as much as possible from them.”

You've played both at centre forward and as a second striker. Which do you prefer? “Either. It's the same to me.”

Are you getting any advice from your team-mates? “Yes, it's so good to be here. The older guys are always giving me advice and it really helps.”

You're from Uruguay, which has a history of great strikers. Is there one in particular you try to take after? “For Uruguay, I'd say [Luis] Suarez and [Edinson] Cavani. At Inter, Lukaku and Lautaro [Martinez]: they're both amazing.”
