The technical assistant spoke to Inter TV about working with new coach Simone Inzaghi

APPIANO GENTILE – Commitment and hard work are always on the agenda for the club’s technical staff. Ferruccio Cerasaro, Simone Inzaghi’s technical assistant, took some time out on Wednesday to speak to Inter TV.

What are the main elements of your job? “My job is split into two parts. One is out on the pitch as Inzaghi’s assistant, as I’ve always done, going back to when we started out together at youth level. Then there’s match preparation which we do through video analysis in order to study tactics, set pieces and other game phases.”

What’s the secret behind your connection with Simone Inzaghi? “Our work together goes back to U17 level at Lazio. The connection has, above all, been on a human level, and we’ve also always worked well together on the pitch. We have a wonderful working and human relationship which we were able to transmit to the youngsters back then and to all the teams that we’ve coached since.”

After plenty of professional success, you’re now at Inter. What does it mean to you to be part of this club? “It’s a huge honour. I feel that’s the best word to sum it up. Inter is a historic club and has always been one that I’ve dreamed about, so I now get to live that dream.”

Is it true that you’re a big music fan? Are Inter supporters Max Pezzali and Ligabue among your favourite singers and groups? “Yes, it’s true. That’s the music that takes me back to my twenties, so I’m a big fan of theirs.”

What do you expect from this season? “Huge commitment. I expect 110% from us and from the players.”
