Spicciariello: "Motivated players make our job easy"

APPIANO GENTILE – Fitness coach Claudio Spicciariello spoke to Inter TV about how the squad's pre-season preparations are coming along.

How are things going with the team?

"We've got off to a good start. We've introduced our training methods and the players have been very receptive. We've been able to settle in very quickly and lay the groundwork for the season ahead.”

What sort of work do you do at this time of the year?

“Fabio Ripert and I work together on the athletic side of things focusing on all aspects, from coordination to fitness levels. We began with some general work then moved on to more specific exercises to get the most out of the players individually.”

Spending so much time together is important too.

"Pre-season is crucial in terms of team-bonding. From a fitness point of view, it's about creating the volume needed to then go through mini-cycles during the season. I'm very happy with the way we're working: the players are very motivated and that makes our job easier.”
