Hear what the Argentine told Inter TV during his first club interview

APPIANO GENTILE – On Joaquin Correa’s first day in Inter colours, the forward spoke to Inter TV about his move to the champions and had a strong message for the fans.

What does it mean to you to play for the Italian champions?

“I’m proud and at the same time, it’s a huge responsibility. I really wanted to join Inter. I can’t wait to show what I can do and help the team.”

How important was Simone Inzaghi in your choice?

“Very. I had other options, but the boss played a key role in my decision to choose this club and I’m so pleased to be here.”

You’d already come to Appiano Gentile as a younger, but are now back as a professional footballer. How does it feel?

“I was here as a youngster. When I came through the gate again today, those moments went rushing through my head. There are so many emotions involved. I’m older and more mature now. I want to improve every day.”

Have you spoken to Lautaro Martinez over the last few days?

“Yes, he’s sent me so many messages. I have a great relationship with him and he was asking me when we would become team-mates. We play together at international level and it’s fantastic that we’re now team-mates here at Inter as well.”

You’ve played with and learnt from Juan Sebastian Veron during your career. What has he said to you in recent days?

“He called me and said that joining Inter was an excellent choice. He had some incredible experiences here. He told me to enjoy every moment at this club. I’m thrilled.”

What’s your message for the Inter fans?

“Thank you for all the messages that you’ve sent. I can’t wait to get out on to the pitch and show what I can do.”
