The Nerazzurri duo helped l'Albiceleste beat Venezuela 3-1. Elsewhere Vidal and Vecino played 90 minutes each

After starring in Inter's 3-1 win over Verona recently, Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa repeated the trick for Argentina last night as both got on the score sheet in a 3-1 defeat of Venezuela in World Cup qualifying.

El Toro opened the scoring at the Estadio Olímpico de la Ciudad Universitaria in first-half stoppage time, set up by Giovanni Lo Celso.

Correa replaced Lo Celso shortly after the hour mark and within 10 minutes had doubled Argentina's lead, with Lautaro laying on the assist.

Angel Correa then added a third before Yeferson Soteldo notched a consolation goal from the penalty spot in added time.

Elsewhere Matias Vecino and Arturo Vidal played 90 minutes for their respective national sides.

Uruguay drew 1-1 in Peru while Chile were beaten 1-0 at home by Brazil.
