Nerazzurri defender plays in 5-0 victory in Reggio Emilia

REGGIO EMILIA – After back-to-back draws against Bulgaria and Switzerland, Italy returned to winning ways with a comfortable 5-0 win over Lithuania in a 2022 World Cup qualifying match on Wednesday.

A Moise Kean double, an Edgaras Uktus own goal and further strikes by Giacomo Raspadori and Giovanni Di Lorenzo saw Roberto Mancini's Azzurri extend their unbeaten run to 37 games, a new world record.

Italy now have 14 points after six games while second-placed Switzerland, who drew 0-0 with Northern Ireland in Belfast, have eight points from four matches.

Alessandro Bastoni played the full 90 minutes at Mapei Stadium, earning his seventh Italy cap.
