The Bosnian shares his thoughts after Inter lost out to a late Real Madrid goal

MILAN – The goal just wouldn't come for Edin Dzeko against Real Madrid. He and his Nerazzurri team-mates kept knocking on the door but Thibault Courtois kept it firmly shut with a serious of key saves. And when Rodrygo struck a late winner for Los Blancos, it felt like rough justice.

Afterwards, Dzeko spoke to Prime Video about what could have been a very different match.

"We deserved a much better result but if you don't take your chances it's difficult to win,” the Bosnia striker began. “We were unlucky to concede a goal at the end of a match we played so well in. It should have ended differently

“We created plenty of chances but Courtois was really on his game – perhaps more than we were. It's a real shame.”

The summer signing also commented briefly on how he's finding life at his new club

“I'm really enjoying it at Inter. The lads welcomed me in so well. They're a great bunch of guys and amazing players – as they showed last season.”
