The full-back gave his thoughts after Inter 2-2 Atalanta

MILAN - Football, as they say, is a funny old game. Federico Dimarco, who came on for Inter after the break, firstly played a key role in Inter’s equaliser. His powerful drive was parried by Juan Musso, leading to Edin Dzeko tapping in to make it 2-2. He then stepped up to take what would’ve probably proven to be a match-winning penalty. Yet his strike careered off the crossbar and the game ended in a draw.

Following the conclusion of the game the Nerazzurri full-back spoke to Inter TV, having been consoled by both his team-mates and fans: "I'm really sorry about the penalty, but I'm happy because the fans and my teammates got behind me straight away. Although I missed the penalty I can assure you that I will do everything in my power to improve, working hard in training so that I can score goals.

Our fans were a different class tonight, our performance was down to them. We had many chances, we could've come away with a victory. We’ll work hard so that we win the next one. Our minds are already on the game in Kiev, we need to come home with the three points."
