Inter were held to a goalless draw by Shakhtar Donetsk in Kyiv.

The Nerazzurri almost scored in the first half with Nicolo Barella's fine long-range shot coming off the bar and Edin Dzeko lifting a volley over. With the clock ticking down, veteran Shakhtar keeper Andriy Pyatov pulled off two stunning saves to deny first Joaquin Correa and then Stefan de Vrij.

Inter now have one point in Group D after their first two Champions League fixtures.
