Inter's left-back shared his thoughts after his side's 2-1 triumph over Sassuolo

REGGIO EMILIA – Federico Dimarco was one of the four players brought on in the 57th minute by Simone Inzaghi as he sought to turn the game around. 20 minutes later and Inter had gone from 1-0 down to leading 2-1, the comeback complete.

The 23-year-old shared his thoughts with Inter TV after the clash at Mapei Stadium: “We knew that it would be a tough game, and it was. We conceded a goal through a penalty, these things happen. What was important was how we reacted after the break. These three points are vital and mean a lot to us, and count for a lot going into the international break.

“Generally speaking we’re on the right track, we’re undefeated so far in the league. While it’s true to say we could’ve done better than draw against Sampdoria and Atalanta we’re definitely doing things right. We’re working ourselves to the bone and now we’ve got a few weeks before we face Lazio.

"I can’t put into words how much of a dream come true it is for me to play for Inter, the team I support. As for getting an Italy call-up, I’ll keep working hard at Inter and see what happens.”
