Skriniar: "I'm proud of this team"

MADRID - Milan Skriniar put in a top performance for the Nerazzurri, firstly as a centre-back before being moved over to the right. The Slovak spoke to Inter TV after the defeat to Real Madrid:

"We knew that it would be a tough game. We started out well, creating plenty of chances while moving the ball around well and combining as a team. Yet if you don't take your chances against a team like Real Madrid you'll pay for it.

"We should've been more decisive in the first half hour, but I'm proud of this team. We came to Madrid to stand up to them and finish top of the group. Now we'll think about the league; we need to keep up our good performances in Serie A."
