The Argentine got himself on the scoresheet in the 2-1 win against Sassuolo

MILAN - A very important goal, the one that put Inter 2-0 up before the fiery finale at San Siro. El Toro got himself on the scoresheet against Sassuolo, converting a low shot with his left that brings the Argentine up to 15 for the season in Serie A, a personal best.

After the match, the Argentine forward shared his thoughts about the game: "We’re happy because these were three very important points for us to extend our lead in the table. We have won all our games in the second round, we are doing what the Coach wants, we have to carry on like this”.

There is no time to look back: "We must think only about ourselves, as we have done so far. We are first, we are Inter and we are reaping the fruits of our hard work during the week. On Sunday there is another match to be played as a great team”.

"My goals? I'm happy being here at a great club like Inter, it’s a dream for me. I try to improve every day, Conte has helped me improve, I owe him a lot, and I will go on with this humility. My teammates and the staff trust me, and I try to repay that on the field".

For the umpteenth time, Lautaro's goal came from his understanding with Romelu, who had played him through on goal: "Lukaku? He sacrifices himself a lot, much like the whole team, I have to thank him and congratulate everyone. We’re all happy to play together, even Alexis. The competition we have between the three of us is healthy: Alexis always raises the level, for this I also thank him".
