Looking towards Inter vs. Verona: Standings and upcoming Nerazzurri fixtures

Two consecutive 1-1 draws in the two away trips to Napoli and Spezia. Now Inter fix their sights on their next fixture which sees them take on Hellas Verona at San Siro on Sunday at 15:00 CEST. It will be part of matchday 33, making it the sixth last game of the season.

HOW THE STANDINGS LOOK FOR INTER

The draw with Spezia, although regretfully not won, allowed Inter to extend their advantage over second place. During the midweek round of matches AC Milan lose to Sassuolo, Juventus defeated Parma, and most importantly, Atalanta drew 1-1 with Roma. A win would have moved the Bergamo team into second in the table.

Inter, therefore, hold a lead of ten points over AC Milan, and eleven points over Atalanta and Juventus. The Nerazzurri’s 76 points are a result of having the second-best attack in the league (71 goals scored; Atalanta have 73), and the best defence (29 goals conceded, level with Juventus).
