The former Nerazzurri defender will take the reins of our U19 team having previously worked with the U14s, U17s and U18s

MILAN - Cristian Chivu has been named as the new head coach of Inter Primavera.

The 2010 treble-winner takes charge of the Nerazzurri Under-19s after an excellent campaign with the Under-18s, which ended with an unfortunate semi-final defeat at the hands of the eventual champions Genoa.

A rock-solid and supremely skilful defender, Chivu has worked his way up through the Nerazzurri academy ranks since going into coaching. He began with the Under-14s in 2018 then moved on to the Under-17s the following year before steering the Under-18s to the Scudetto semi-finals in 2020/21.

On behalf of everyone at Inter, we'd like to wish Cristian the very best of luck for this next stage of his Nerazzurri career!
