APPIANO GENTILE – Mattia Zanotti is among the Primavera representatives who have joined up with the first-team squad for the first few days of pre-season training as preparations for the new campaign begin. The 18-year-old told Inter TV all about how it’s been going so far.
“I’ve been enjoying a wonderful experience thanks to the coach and my team-mates who’ve welcomed me here. It’s been a brilliant few days. It’s amazing to train with top players. You can learn so much by observing them day after day. I take inspiration from Matteo Darmian, who’s fantastic when it comes to getting forward and also defending. I’ll try to learn so much from him.
“Personally, there’s plenty of room for improvement for me going forward. It’s an area where I’m trying to get better. My strength is the tactical side of my game, although I certainly still have plenty to learn. Last season was very positive for me as I played the whole second half of the season for the U19s and also grabbed a goal in the semi-final. I felt very pleased.”
The defender also discussed the arrival of Cristian Chivu as the new U19 coach. “He’s a top coach with a strong character. He’ll certainly have a lot to teach us.”
