MILAN – Happy birthday Obafemi Martins! Born in Lagos on 28 October 1984, 'Oba Oba' turns 37 today.
The Nigerian started out in Inter's youth ranks before moving up to the first team in 2002, where he featured over four seasons. Martins scored an impressive 49 times in 134 appearances for the club, including a memorable strike at Highbury against Arsenal in the Champions League and the goal which kickstarted Inter's legendary comeback over Sampdoria in 2005.
During his time at San Siro Martins won a Scudetto, two Coppa Italias and a Supercoppa Italiana. His performances are fondly remembered by Inter fans, as are his trademark somersault celebrations.
