Video recap of the Serie A Week 25 clash at the Stadio Maradona, when goals by Insigne and Dzeko saw it end all square

NAPLES – Saturday's Serie A showdown between Napoli and Inter ended 1-1 as the spoils were shared at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

The hosts were handed the chance to get their noses in front in the seventh minute when the referee awarded a spot-kick following an on-field review of contact between Stefan de Vrij and Victor Osimhen. Lorenzo Insigne stepped up and powered home into the corner to make it 1-0.

Napoli almost made it two with Piotr Zielinski hitting the woodwork while Inter looked to respond through Edin Dzeko and Denzel Dumfries, but the Nerazzurri appeared somewhat jaded in the opening 45 minutes.

It was a different story in the second half and Dzeko restored parity just two minutes after the restart, lashing home from close range following Lautaro Martinez's cross.

Dumfries very nearly had the chance to complete the comeback but was denied by Kalidou Koulibaly's superb intervention.

Napoli also went close through Osimhen and Elif Elmas, only to come up against an in-form Samir  Handanovic.

Inter move up to 54 points with a game in hand while Napoli remain one behind on 53.
