The Dutchman spoke after his side's defeat to Sassuolo

MILAN - In the 94th minute Stefan de Vrij thought that he might've got a consolation for for his side yet VAR determined otherwise. It was one of the final actions in what was a game to forget for the Nerazzurri. The Dutchman, who enjoyed a tussle with Gianluca Scamacca throughout, spoke to Inter TV following the game:

"It's a bad defeat; I can't put it any other way. We got off to a bad start, losing the ball and giving Sassuolo too many chances to counter. We lacked clarity and we gave the ball away too many times in the first half. Going two goals behind obviously made things tricky.

"We reacted well and created a lot after the break but it wasn't enough to break the deadlock. We'll look over this game; there are so many things to analyse and learn from it. We need to dust ourselves down quickly."
