The German made his debut in the final minutes of the Coppa Italia derby

MILAN - Robin Gosens came on in the 88th minute of the Coppa Italia semi-final first-leg between Milan and Inter to make his debut for the Nerazzurri. It was a special moment for him because he has spent a long time on the sidelines this season because of injury.

Gosens is the ninth German to play for Inter during the club’s history and he told Inter TV how pleased he was to play: “I’m so happy because it’s great to get back out on the pitch after being out for nearly five months with injury. My debut came in a very difficult game. Milan are a very good side. They hold a high line and press very hard. We perhaps needed to make better use of the space but it’s not always easy. We have played lots of games and are a little tired. This was the first of two legs: even though we didn’t get a goal, we will play with confidence when we meet again in April.”
