Skriniar 200: “I hope to play so many more games for this club”

MILAN – Milan Skriniar made his 200th appearance for Inter in all competitions on Tuesday night against AC Milan in the derby in the Coppa Italia. The Slovak started the Coppa Italia derby against Milan and reached the milestone in style with a solid performance in which he showed his character. After the game, Skriniar took some time out to talk to Inter TV about how it felt and the team’s overall performance.

“I’m pleased to have made 200 appearances for Inter. I hope to play so many more games for this club.

“The derby is always a special game, with many chances and so much pressure on both teams. We need the freshness and sparkle that we had a few matches ago because we’re not scoring goals and we’ve been creating less, but we’re Inter. We’re the same team that we were before and I’m confident. We’ll rediscover our strength. Until then, we can enjoy the clean sheet.

“We need a win to get back on track. We’re looking forward to the game against Salernitana on Friday. It won’t be easy as they’re scrapping for points to survive.”
