Happy birthday, Youri Djorkaeff

MILAN – Talent, class, and a special relationship with the Nerazzurri: coinciding with the club's own 114th birthday Youri Djorkaeff today turns 54.

Youri Djorkaeff is fondly remembered by Inter fans for his skills, talented footwork, and wonderful acrobatics, such as the legendary bicycle kick he scored against Roma in the 1997/98 season. There's more to him than that, though: Djorkaeff played for Inter over three seasons in which he became part of the club's identity. He made 127 appearances for the club, scoring 39 goals in the process, with the highlight of his time with the Nerazzurri lifting the 1997/98 UEFA Cup.
