Another accessible playground has been opened in Milan

MILAN – On Saturday 19 March, Inter Campus took part in the opening of a seventh accessible playground – located at Piazza Ovidio, in the Forlanini district of Milan – as part of the “Gioco al Centro: playgrounds for all” project. Launched by the Fondazione di Comunità Milano, a charity based in the city, in partnership with local authorities, the project promotes the creation of accessible playgrounds in every district of the city, with rides and paths suitable for children with physical and cognitive disabilities.

Inter Campus has played a part in the project since its inception, by organising inclusive football-related activities led by its coaching and educational staff, who have developed sports games and activities – both in Italy and further afield – that are tailored for the enjoyment of all children.

Through a partnership with the charity La Nostra Comunità, running until December 2023, creative workshops will be held at the park, while awareness-raising activities on the topics of disability and diversity will be launched in schools and places frequented by young people in the local area.
