Ten Inter players were in action during the international break. Find out how they got on

Ten Nerazzurri players have been away on international duty for World Cup qualifiers and friendly matches over the last week.

Nicolo Barella, Alessandro Bastoni, Hakan Calhanoglu, Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal said goodbye to their hopes of taking part in Qatar 2022 following the elimination of Italy, Turkey and Chile, while Joaquin Correa's Argentina had already booked their place at November's showpiece. Ivan Perisic, Milan Skriniar, Denzel Dumfries and Edin Dzeko were involved in international friendlies.

Bastoni (114 total minutes played) and Barella (77 minutes) both featured in Italy's shock defeat to North Macedonia in their World Cup play-off semi-final. Bastoni also played part of Tuesday's 3-2 friendly win over Turkey.

Hakan Calhanoglu's Turkey meanwhile were knocked out by Portugal (3-1) in the play-offs. The Nerazzurri midfielder – who racked up a total of 167 minutes – was named as captain for the game against Italy following Burak Yilmaz's retirement.

Joaquin Correa played 64 minutes in the first of Argentina's two matches – a 3-0 win over Venezuela.

Back-to-back defeats for Chile – against Brazil (4-0) and Uruguay (2-0) – ended their interest in this year's World Cup. Alexis Sanchez played all of both encounters while Arturo Vidal totalled 171 minutes.

Denzel Dumfries got 180 minutes under his belt for the Netherlands in a 4-2 win over Denmark and a 1-1 draw with Germany, setting up the equaliser for Steven Bergwijn in the latter fixture.

Milan Skriniar played two full games for Slovakia: a 2-0 defeat to Norway and a 2-0 win over Finland.

Ivan Perisic was involved for 73 minutes of Croatia's 1-1 draw with Slovenia then played the second half of his side's 2-1 win against Bulgaria.

Edin Dzeko was the only Nerazzurri player to find the net while on international duty: after playing 90 minutes in the 1-0 defeat to Georgia, he came on as a 66th-minute substitute against Luxembourg and scored the only goal of the game.
