Goals from Dumfries, Brozovic and Lautaro down Roma

Inter recorded their fourth consecutive league victory on Saturday as they beat Roma 3-1 at San Siro in front of 75,000 fans. It was a big test for Simone Inzaghi’s side, who could have gone a goal down on 29 minutes from Gianluca Mancini’s header.

However, a minute later, it was the Nerazzurri who broke the deadlock after Denzel Dumfries latched on to a fantastic through-ball by Hakan Calhanoglu. On 40 minutes, they managed to double their lead as Marcelo Brozovic dodged past the Roma defenders before hitting home with an incredible strike into the top corner. Not long after the break, Inter bagged their third, with Lautaro Martinez heading in from Calhanoglu’s corner to make it 3-0.

The Giallorossi tried to get back into the game, but Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s 85th-minute goal came too late for them, leaving the final score at 3-1.
