The best of the action as the Nerazzurri recorded a stunning win to clinch an eighth Coppa Italia

Inter got their hands on the Coppa Italia for the eighth time in the club’s history thanks to an enthralling 4-2 victory over Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico. The final was eventually decided in extra time after the two sides couldn’t be separated at the end of regulation time.

Inter took the lead on 7 minutes when Nicolo Barella bent a stunning right-footed shot into the corner. Juve equalised early in the second half through Alex Sandro with the help of a deflection off Alvaro Morata before taking the lead two minutes later when Dusan Vlahovic broke away and beat Samir Handanovic at the second time of asking.

Inter got back on level terms on 80 minutes when Hakan Calhanoglu fired a penalty home after Lautaro Martinez was brought down in the box. Ivan Perisic took charge in extra time, first by converting a penalty to make it 3-2 after Stefan de Vrij was fouled by Matthijs de Ligt in the box, before sealing victory with a rasping left-footed shot to crown a 4-2 victory that saw Inter lift the Coppa Italia.
