Following on from Wednesday’s fixture between Italy and Argentina in the Finalissima 2022 three more Inter players were involved for their countries, this time in UEFA Nations League and friendly matches.
The Netherlands won their Group D game 4-1 away against Belgium, with Denzel Dumfries getting on the scoresheet and Stefan de Vrij remaining on the bench. Steven Bergwijn opened the scoring while Memphis Depay also struck twice. Belgium’s only goal of the match came from Michy Batshuayi.
Milan Skriniar’s Slovakia also came out on top in their match in Group K; the Nerazzurri defender played all 90 minutes and captained his side to a 1-0 win over Belarus thanks to a goal from Tomas Suslov.
Croatia got off to a bad start in Group A, losing 3-0 to Austria through goals by Marco Arnautovic, Michael Gregoritsch, and Marcel Sabitzer. Marcelo Brozovic played all 90 minutes.
Matias Vecino featured for Uruguay in a friendly against Mexico, scoring the opener as his country ran out 3-0 winners; Edinson Cavani also claimed a brace.
