The Argentine's wonder strike against Liverpool has been voted as our best goal of the 2021/22 campaign
The ball bounces towards him, he lets it run, then turns and unleashes an unstoppable shot into the top corner. Lautaro Martinez's brilliant goal at Anfield saw us beat Liverpool 1-0 in the Champions League last-16 return leg on 8 March. It wasn't enough to send us through to the next round but that didn't stop Nerazzurri fans voting for it on our social media networks as the finest goal of the 2021/22 season.
El Toro's effort is therefore the DIGITALBITS GOAL OF THE SEASON, having seen off some stiff competition – 16 of the best goals from our men's and women's first teams and men's U19s.
The Argentine wins the award after beating Nicolo Barella's curler in the Coppa Italia final against Juventus.
