Rewatch all the Nerazzurri goals in an unmissable compilation video

MILAN – Inter’s goal-scoring efforts in the Serie A 2021/22 season kicked off in style as the Nerazzurri put four past Genoa in their opening game; they came to an end with two goals from Joaquin Correa against Sampdoria, the Argentinian’s third brace of the season. Topping the tally this year is Lautaro Martinez, who scored 25 goals in total. He and Alexis Sanchez are the only players to have scored in all competitions. After El Toro, Edin Dzeko is second on the list, with 17 goals. The Bosnian striker was the top scorer in the Champions League after bagging a brace against Shakhtar Donetsk and the opener in Inter’s 3-1 home win against Sheriff.

Out of the 107 goals scored, 84 of them came in the league: Inter finished the Serie A 2021/22 season with the best attacking record (and second best defensive one too – 84:32). Inter were also the team with the most headed goals across the five major European leagues in 2021/22, with 19 in total. The two most successful players in this regard were Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez, who both scored four with their head.

Simone Inzaghi’s team finished the Serie A 21/22 season with 15 different players grabbing at least one goal and one assist from open play, more than any other team in the league this season (Lautaro Martinez, Edin Dzeko, Ivan Perisic, Hakan Calhanoglu, Joaquin Correa, Denzel Dumfries, Alexis Sanchez, Nicolo Barella, Roberto Gagliardini, Federico Dimarco, Matteo Darmian, Marcelo Brozovic, Alessandro Bastoni, Arturo Vidal and Danilo D'Ambrosio).
