By Your Side: the film of Inter’s season

11 months of hard graft, joyous moments, challenges and celebrations featuring a heap of goals and two glittering trophies against the backdrop of the ever-supportive Nerazzurri faithful from start to end all feature in By Your Side, the film of Inter’s 2021/22 season, which was first aired on the club’s official YouTube channel at 20:00 on Friday.

This Inter Media House production, which is presented by Socios.com, takes a look back at the most significant, thrilling, arduous and incredible moments from last term in this extended video featuring previously unseen clips and interviews with the club’s biggest stars. The title By Your Side is a tribute to all the club’s fans, to your tireless voices that have been with the team throughout this journey, with no shortage of support, resulting in the overall attendance figure at San Siro being broken.

The video opens and closes with a moving moment showcasing the warm reception for the players from the San Siro faithful after the win over Sampdoria. It is split into four chapters that embody the values in the squad and the footballing journey covered in 2021/22.

It begins with a sense of belonging within the squad, which is the first ingredient needed to make a team capable of competing on all fronts. The second is never give up, which is how Inter returned to the Champions League last 16 for the first time in ten years and became the only visiting side to win at Anfield in the entire 2021/22 campaign against the Champions League finalists.

Then came the first trophy, the Italian Super Cup against Juventus, with the tag line the group makes the difference. Finally there’s the Inter spirit, which was a constant throughout the year, especially when the team lifted a second trophy, the Coppa Italia, after a dramatic final against Juventus and all the joyous celebrations that ensued on the pitch, in the dressing room and on the flight back to Milan.
