It was a true captain's season. Goal after goal, win after win, Lautaro Martinez led the line for Inter with hunger, determination and bags of quality. El Toro had a prolific 2024/25, scooping up MVP awards, setting records, and making iconic memories.

EL TORO'S TALENT: RECORDS AND POTM AWARDS
A leader of men, Lautaro wrote his name in the history books with nine Champions League goals, equalling Hernán Crespo's record. With 21 total goals in the Champions League, he is now the Nerazzurri's all-time leading goalscorer in the competition, having overtaken a legend in Sandro Mazzola. Lautaro's season in Europe wasn't just about goals, though. He also put in some breathtaking performances. He won four UEFA POTM awards: the first came on matchday 7 of the league phase following a sensational winner on the turn. Then, he netted that hat-trick against Monaco on a perfect January night. He won award number 3 for his display in the victory over Feyenoord, during which he surpassed Mazzola, as previously mentioned. Finally, we have the game that saw the Nerazzurri progress to the semi-final: 2-2 against Bayern in the return leg of the quarters.

Ahead of our final home game of 2024, the Meazza recognised the Inter captain after he reached 300 appearances for the Nerazzurri, celebrated with a special shirt handed to him by Giuseppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio.
The Bayern game at home was the expression of Lautaro-style in its truest: fight, technique, leadership. That day, he hit the 150-goal mark for the Club, which he celebrated, as he usually does, by running over to the Curva to salute his fans.
SEVENTH PLACE IN THE BALLON D'OR RANKING
Lautaro's season was made even better by some prestigious international awards. He won the Golden Foot, proof of his immense talent. Furthermore, he finished in 7th place in the 2024 Ballon d'Or ranking, the first top-10 finish of his career to date.
