Happy birthday to Ernesto Pellegrini

MILANO - Ernesto Pellegrini is a figure who wrote an indelible chapter in the history of Inter. Born in Milano on 14 December 14 1940, he grew up with an immense passion for the Nerazzurri colours. Pellegrini fulfilled his biggest dream in 1984, becoming Inter's 17th president. He held this role for eleven years, giving fans unforgettable moments.

Under his leadership, Inter achieved historic feats, winning a record-breaking Scudetto in 1988/89, the Supercoppa Italiana and two UEFA Cups (in 1991 and 1994), thus cementing the Club as one of the great powers of European football. In 2020, as the crowning achievement of an extraordinary career, he received further recognition: a special award as part of the third edition of the Nerazzurri Hall of Fame, a tribute to his lasting impact on the Inter world.
