Happy Birthday Sandro Mazzola

It's Sandro Mazzola's 82nd Birthday. History, taken t of the characteristics that have accompanied him during his Inter career, traits that have helped him write so many pages in the Inter history books. A unique and exciting journey in the Inter shirt that began at just 18 years old. Sandro already started to grab the headlines: against Juventus, despite protests, Angelo Moratti decided to send a youthful team onto the pitch. The young star Mazzola shone instantly, scoring on his first appearance. It was a feat which paved the way for a bright future: that first goal was just the beginning of something legendary.

From that day, for 17 years, San Siro would be his home and his performances that made the fans cheer and left opponents defeated. Mazzola became the symbol of a winning Inter side, a man who could lead a team with his charisma and class.

He wore the Inter shirt almost like a second skin: in 17 seasons he made 565 appearances and scored 158 goals, winning the hearts of every fan and rewriting records for the Club. With Inter, Mazzola won four Scudetti, two Champions Cups and two intercontinental cups.
