Inter U23: magic from Cocchi and Topalovic secures the win against AlbinoLeffe

A strong and convincing win for Inter U23, who beat AlbinoLeffe 3-1 in matchday twelve of Serie C Group A. The Nerazzurri played an intense, well-controlled game, demonstrating determination when needed and clinical finishing towards the end. Cocchi opened the scoring with a brilliant volley in the first half, before Topalovic secured the win with an incredible brace in the second.

Inter got off to a slow start in Zanica. After De Paoli hit the crossbar in the 14th minute, the game picked up pace just six minutes later: Cocchi found a loose ball at the edge of the box and thundered an unstoppable volley into the top corner, a masterpiece that gave the Nerazzurri the lead 1-0.

The second half began with the home side pressing hard, and they equalised in the 53rd minute: De Paoli converted a penalty after Kaczmarski’s foul on Sali in the box. The match became tense, but Inter responded with composure and fresh legs from their substitutions. In the 84th minute, Inter took the lead again: excellent play from substitutes Agbonifo and Topalovic, with the former delivering a perfect cross from the right and the latter heading past the goalkeeper to make it 2-1. In added time, the same duo sealed the game: Agbonifo once again set up Topalovic at the edge of the box, and the striker powered a powerful right-footed strike to complete his brace and secure a 3-1 victory. A well-deserved win for the Nerazzurri, as they displayed composure, quality, and a strong sense of team spirit. Thanks to this result, Vecchi’s side moves to fourth in the standings with 22 points.
