The Nerazzurri took the lead in the first half thanks to La Gumina who scored a brace within seven minutes, the first with a right footed volley, then from the penalty spot. In the second half, Alcione pulled one back in the 82nd minute thanks to Marconi, making way for a tense final few minutes.
