Alessandro Bastoni is the best defender of the 2024/25 Serie A season. The 26-year-old received the official award from Lega Serie A in the build-up to Como vs. Inter. Included in the Top 3 in the ‘defenders’ category, Bastoni saw off competition from Napoli's Buongiorno and Lazio's Tavares to win the MVP award for the second consecutive season.

A complete and modern defender with fantastic technique and excellent man-marking ability, Bastoni has surpassed 250 appearances in the Nerazzurri shirt this season and has been the most-used outfield player in Inzaghi's squad across all competitions.
