Three Nerazzurre are in the team of the year


It's been a season filled with emotions and achievements for Inter Women, who finished second in the Serie A Women's 2024/25 and qualified for the UEFA Women's Champions League. Some of Gianpiero Piovani's side have earned a spot in the Top 11 for the 2024/25 season.

Here are the three Nerazzurre in the team: Rúnarsdóttir in goal, Ivana Andrés in defence and Lina Magull in midfield.

  • Cecilía Rúnarsdóttir

    The Inter goalkeeper recorded the highest percentage of saves (80% - 87 out of 109 shots faced) amongst goalkeepers with at least two appearances in the league; no other player in her position has collected more clean sheets than the Icelander (10, same as Sara Cetinja).

  • Ivana Andrés

    Among defenders, the Nerazzurra was the player with the most possessions won in the defensive third in the recently concluded Serie A season (89), and she also had the highest aerial duel win percentage among players in her position who contested at least 50 duels (69.3% – 43 out of 62).

  • Lina Magull: In addition to being one of just six midfielders to score more than five goals in the recently concluded league season (six for the Nerazzurre, plus three assists), the German was also the midfielder with the highest pass success rate (85% – 762 out of 898) among those who attempted at least 700 passes in the 2024/25 Serie A.
