“My teammates know that it hasn’t been easy for me recently; we talk to each other every day. When I arrived, I immediately provided an assist, but I’ve had a tough period. I’m now getting into shape; I’m not 100% there yet, but I can only thank my teammates, the Club and the fans. It was an extraordinary evening. That’s what our fans are all about, and we need to do everything for this Club. Everyone who comes to the stadium gives their all, and we need to do the same. This evening, Lautaro and Dimarco were out; they’re extraordinary players, and those of us who take to the pitch need to do everything we can. We’re happy tonight. I always give everything and, although the opposition goalkeeper did well today, we managed to win, which is what counts.”

“Arnautovic provided an incredible assist, but I’m not surprised: in terms of his understanding of the game and the way he plays with his back to goal, he’s one of the strongest players I’ve played with. We talked before the game: in theory, I should have been the one to set him up to score, but it ended up being the other way round. However, we’re happy and, in this long season, will need everyone if we want to be successful. Picking up three points after a defeat - even if the loss was undeserved - is always fantastic. We’re pushing on in the league and sit first due to our good work. The others have to chase us, while we need to continue going down our path. We’ll try to do the best we can.”
