Inter’s Champions League campaign is over: Nicolò Barella speaks after the game

Inter’s 2025/26 Champions League campaign is over. At San Siro, Bodø/Glimt repeated their success and won 2-1, with goals from Hauge and Evjen. Bastoni pulled one back for Inter, but it only reduced the deficit and was not enough to change the outcome of Chivu’s side’s European run. Nicolò Barella spoke after the game:

“I don’t think they caused us too many problems today. We conceded because of an individual mistake, things that can happen in football. The hardest part was breaking them down, and we weren’t able to do it. Credit to Bodø, they won both games and deserved to go through. It’s disappointing because, as we’ve always said, we want to compete on all fronts and in every competition. We tried, but they were better over the two legs. Sometimes you can miss out by just one point, maybe because of a penalty in the 90th minute, and that can mean playing two extra matches and travelling to Bodø. But that’s football. Do we want to win the league? Our goal has always been to go as far as possible in every competition. The objective is the Scudetto and that has been the target from the start of the season, not just now that we’re 10 points clear.”
