ROME - Inter suffered their first defeat of the season as Lazio won 3-1 at the Olimpico. It was a hard-fought affair that was decided in the final 15 minutes by Luis Alberto and Pedro. This is what Alessandro Bastoni had to say to Inter TV after the game.
“We knew that it’d be an open game. There were positive feelings out on the pitch: for long spells, we controlled possession. Unfortunately, we became stretched after they made it 2-1. We didn’t have any physical problems. I repeat: there were positive feelings and we weren’t particularly struggling. The defeat will most certainly be useful because it’ll allow us to learn from the mistakes we made. We’ll analyse everything and the season has just begun; we have all the energy we need to go again stronger. We’ll regain the cohesiveness of last year.”
