Leadership, class and an unmatched ability in front of goal: Samuel Eto'o was one of the greatest European strikers of the 21st century.
Born in Douala in Cameroon on 10 March 1981, the former Nerazzurri forward celebrates turning 45 today. Eto'o arrived at Inter in the summer of 2009 and spent two seasons wearing the Nerazzurri shirt, making 102 appearances and scoring 53 goals – numbers that led Inter fans to induct the “Lion King” into the Club’s Hall of Fame in 2021. A technical and lightning-fast striker, Eto’o helped Inter achieve extraordinary success thanks to his energy and team mindset. During his time with the Nerazzurri, the Cameroonian won one Scudetto, two Coppa Italia trophies, one Supercoppa Italiana, the Champions League and the Club World Cup, where he was also named the tournament’s best player.
