First Team
— Nov 3rd 2026Goalscorers Yann Bisseck, Pio Esposito and Piotr Zieliński, spoke about the win over Feyenoord
Three points, three goals, three different scorers. Inter secured their second Champions League win thanks to a solid performance and show of strength away to a difficult opponent: the 0-3 win came thanks to goals from Bisseck, Esposito and Zieliński. The German defender broke the deadlock with a brilliant left-footed curler, an unforgettable way to score a first Champions League goal. Pio struck like a true striker, being in the right place at the right time to head a deflected cross in at the backpost. Zieliński sealed the win with a classic strike from outside of the area. Here are the thoughts of the three Nerazzurri at the end of the match at "De Kuip".
“Today went well, also because of the goal I scored which helped the team, I celebrated like this because it just came to me. After just eight minutes, I didn't really think about it, but the win is the most important thing after the derby. We spoke after Saturday, we always need to remain concentrated and serious, even when it's 2-0 because that's the most dangerous scoreline in football. We were fully concentrated for the 95 minutes, I think it's the right way to do things. Well have to play as we did today when we play Como, concentrated, aggressive and knowledgeable of our qualities: Como are strong but if we do what we know we can, we'll have some great chances to win. Football is sometimes like this: we don't to lose but it sometimes happens. What the fans say is important to us, we remain united and I think we're on the right path, even if there are some things to learn and improve on. Speaking about ourselves is always important, you have to do it every season. There's a long way to go and we're still at the start, we can go far with the quality we have. ”
Yann Bisseck
“We did well to react like this, it wasn't simple, we did well to approach it with the right approach and get off to a quick start. Obviously you analyse the defeats and it's right to do so, we did so and I'm happy that we've followed what we've been told. The path ahead is a long one, we have to think about it match by match. A goal is always like oxygen for a striker, I try to put the team ahead of everything and I'm happy to have done that. Last week wasn't great but now I feel 100% and I'm happy to bounce back. Playing with these players helps me a lot, because each player is different but everyone is so good and I get on well with everyone. The match against Como on Sunday will be really important and we'll prepare in the best way possible: we've already done well to respond in this way, we must continue in this way. ”
Pio Esposito
“Great sides reply right away, we're happy to have played well and got three important points, we're all happy. I think the whole team did really well off the ball, we didn't give them any space and shut down their key players. We played really well in the first half, we got onto the right track after my goal and sealed the win. We have to rest ahead of the Como match, they're a very good side: we want to put on a good performance in front of our fans and try to win. ”
